TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - President Joko Widodo or Jokowi has again surprised the public by boarding MRT Jakarta on Thursday, March 21. Jokowi along with Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan joined in the group of disabled community.
The President addressed several inputs and suggestions on the facilities of the newly-built train. “In general, MRT Jakarta has good facilities, but there is a complaint about the gap between the train and the platform,” said Jokowi today in Istora Station, Central Jakarta.
The ground distance between the train and the platform considerably hindered disables, especially those using a wheelchair. However, Jokowi said MRT Jakarta president director William Sabandar will soon overcome the issue.
